SYNOPSIS

As an excursion to the work of botanical and film preservation, “Herbaria” explores in its invisible processes the artistic and political derivations that connect them.
Sustained in a narration where times and spaces seem to merge, the records invite us to the fascinating universe of preserving the beauty and memory of a world that insists on disappearing.

PRESS

"Herbaria assumes the Borgesian form of a labyrinth that unravels in space and time. Gradually the film becomes more and more a visual poem, slips into the fantastic documentary, takes on a metaphysical form."

FATA MORGANA • by Bruno Roberti • Italian Only

"Leandro Listorti's tactile essay documentary convincingly connects the preservation of plants with film archivism."
